New Patients

Thank you for your interest in

scheduling a consultation with Dr. Mednick!

Please read the following before proceeding:

  • There is currently a wait time of approximately 8 weeks for an intake appointment.  If you are having an emergency or cannot wait this long, you should seek urgent care instead, by calling 911, or 1-800-LIFENET (for a list of referrals within your insurance and location).

  • Appointments are generally available 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Dr. Mednick takes only Cigna and UHC/Oxford insurance.  An intake appointment will cost $545 out of network.  Click here for more information on rates and out-of-network coverage.

  • Dr. Mednick treats patients between the ages of 18 and 64 with the following diagnoses: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Postpartum issues.  Other age groups and diagnostic categories will require treatment by a specialist with further training and expertise in the given area.

  • Dr. Mednick does not provide long-term benzodiazepine treatment. If you are seeking a provider to continue a daily benzo prescription (xanax, klonopin, valium, etc), please look elsewhere unless you are willing to consider a plan to decrease use. The doctor only prescribes benzos as medically appropriate for temporary use of three months or less (followed by rare as-needed administration).

  • If you have been in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization program, or intensive outpatient treatment in the past 6 months prior to requesting a consult with Dr. Mednick, you will need to have your treatment provider at the previous program contact the doctor directly to set up your intake appointment.

  • Dr. Mednick only provides medication management, not psychotherapy. You are required to be actively in therapy before initiating medication treatment. (There will still be a lot to talk about! The distinction is between regular, weekly 45 minute exploratory sessions versus the more symptom-focused visits that Dr. Mednick utilizes.)

  • Dr. Mednick's practice is electronic. This means that most communication outside of appointments, all prescriptions, billing, etc. will be conducted electronically via secure methods. If you are not comfortable with this type of communication please seek an alternate provider.

If you are interested in scheduling a consultation, you will need to submit your request through our Electronic Portal, Luminello. This will be the system through which all future communications, scheduling, and prescribing will be completed. We require you to set up a profile and enter your demographic information.  Once this is complete you will be contacted about finding an appointment time.  Click below to begin.
